How can I locate the tracking number for my shipment?

Your tracking number can be found in two places: 

• On your scheduled delivery day, they will send you an email with the tracking number.

• The email will read: Your Home Chef order is on its way!

• Under your Account tab, click on Order History. Click on the corresponding Order Date and under Delivery Date you will see Tracking Number. You can click on the tracking number and it will take you to live tracking information. Tracking may not become accurate until scheduled day of delivery.

When does Home Chef deliver?

• Home Chef sends weekly deliveries Monday through Friday. You can select the day of week that's most convenient for you. Delivery day options will vary according to where you live.

• The time of delivery may vary depending on your shipper and your region, they are unable to request a specific delivery window on your behalf.

How does Home Chef you keep food fresh in transit?

They ship fresh produce with care using a biodegradable, insulated box with water soluble, cool gel packs designed to keep your food refrigerated, not frozen.

How do I dispose of the box & packaging materials?

They're committed to tackling packaging waste, while ensuring that their ingredients reach their customers in the safest and highest quality conditions. They use packaging that is recyclable or reusable and also keeps the food at a safe temperature during the entire journey from their facility to their customer's home. Here are some tips for recycling your Home Chef packaging: 

• Box and Divider - All of Home Chef's boxes and dividers are made from partially recycled cardboard and are curbside recyclable. 

• Produce Bags - The meal bags (#5) and ingredient bags (#4) can be recycled at all locations that accept plastic bags.

• Ice Packs - Their ice packs are non-toxic and made of 99% water and 1% sodium salt (polyacralate). They can be easily rinsed off and reused. To dispose of the ice packs, simply cut open the film, throw the contents in the trash, and recycle the film where you recycle your plastic bags.

• Plastic containers - Their plastic containers range in number but are all curbside recyclable.

• Recipe Cards - Recipe cards are designed to be kept and reused. They’re also curbside recyclable.

How can I apply the ID.ME discount if I already have an account?

The ongoing discount for first responder, doctor, nurse, hospital employee, and teacher is available on the 'Billing Information' page of your Home Chef Dashboard. There is a green button labeled 'Verify with ID.me', you can click on this to verify your employment through ID.me. Once you have been successfully verified the recurring 10% discount will automatically apply toward future shipments.
